Mission
Our mission is to build heart and soul through the written word as read from a faith perspective. As Christians, we seek to read works that build faith and character, and we started this community to share the thought-provoking works we've found that encourage us to pursue a gracious, loving, and joyful life.
Crystal (Founder)
My name is Crystal. I am a college student studying English and Psychology. I participate actively in ballroom dance, creative writing, and Readers2Leaders. I also serve in the Christian community at my campus.
Outside of student life, I am a book blogger at Imaginary Reads, which I founded in April 2011 to share my love of books. Imaginary Reads takes a more literary and critical approach to fiction. I founded Reading in Faith in October 2014 to blog about books from a faith perspective when I realized that much of what I was reading on the book market today doesn't support my Christian learning. I am also a blogger at Write, Crystal, where I blog to explore topics that come up in life and which aren't always covered deeply enough (if ever) in the classroom. Through this, I seek to encourage and empower people in various stages of life.
I try to post here at least once a week. As I'm a college student, however, papers and exams fill up quite a bit of my time, and I may disappear from time to time. You can find updates on the status of my student life via social media.
